Meet Carol Endres
Carol Endres has earned her place as one of America's distinguished "American Primitive" artists. According to Carol she has been inspired by the early pioneers, their creativity and resourcefulness - the way they made use of materials they had. The homes of the early pioneers were filled with their inventiveness, paintings on wood, fabric on walls, hooked rugs, twig furinture and today's highly prized quilts of yesteryear.
Carol has lived in upstate New York all her life and knew as a child of six that she would be an artist. Her natural talent was evident as the young artist successfully launched her own company which produced her signed and numbered lithographs. As the demand for her art increased, Carol decided to sell her company and concentate on the development of her calling "American Primitive" folk art.
Widely recognized in America, Carol's work is rapidly gaining worldwide popularity. And, as did those who came before her, Carol derives her inspiration from her faith in God.
